
On 23rd October 2020, IDI supported the hosting of the virtual meeting of the Horizon 2020 Green Deal Call International Networking Event. The meeting formed part of the “Turkey in Horizon 2020 Phase II” Technical Assistance Project which is co-financed by the EU and the Republic of Turkey, and implemented by the Turkish Ministry of Industry and Technology. The event focused on the forthcoming European Green Deal Call and covered the following topics:
- Increasing climate ambition
- Clean, affordable and secure energy
- Industry for a clean and circular economy
- Energy and resource efficient buildings
- Sustainable and smart mobility
- Farm to fork
- Biodiversity and ecosystems
- Zero-pollution, toxic-free environments
- Strengthening knowledge
- Empowering citizens
It brought together approximately 500 attendees from Europe and Turkey, across the domains of energy and the environment, from both the research and industrial communities. The event provided participants with the opportunity to connect with Turkish and European researchers to discuss project ideas, and get first-hand information about the upcoming European Green Deal Call.
